Mental magic is a form of entertainment in which magicians perform extraordinary phenomena such as predictions, telepathy, memory, number tricks/quick calculations and the like.
In this course, Christoph Kuch introduces you to mental magic. He shows you different methods and explains what is important in mental magic.
You already have the props you need at home, so you can start practicing right away.
With what you learn in this course, you can put together a 20-minute mental program and amaze your audience.
Specifically, you will learn:
- Color Reading:
A spectator paints a picture with three different colors. You know what he painted with each color. Whether as direct mind reading or as a prediction. A very powerful mind reading experiment.
- Magician's Choice:
There are three objects on a table. The spectator gives you one, takes one, and one object remains on the table. You can't know how the spectator will decide. Nevertheless, you predicted the scenario several hours before the experiment in a prediction that remained on the table the entire time.
- Book test:
A classic mentalism trick. The spectator opens a previously chosen book to a single page. Not only can you tell them the first word, you can even recite the entire sentence.
- Magic square:
The spectator calls out any two-digit number. You write down 4 x 4 numbers on a pad of paper in just a few seconds. Adding these numbers vertically, horizontally, and diagonally always results in the number called out by the spectator. With this experiment, you demonstrate your exceptional math skills. But don't worry, the solution is easy to implement, even without a Nobel Prize in Mathematics.
- Center Tear:
A volunteer thinks of a loved one, an important date, or a time. They write the information on a piece of paper. The piece of paper is torn up, and you can immediately tell what/who the viewer is thinking of. Mind reading couldn't be more direct.
- In a talk, the mental magician also explains why mental magic, unlike other branches of magic, needs a compelling story to be entertaining. Christoph will give you some tips and tricks for finding an interesting presentation for your experiment.
