Playing card magic is certainly the most extensive area of magic. A deck of cards is the most versatile prop imaginable, and the number of manipulations, effects, and routines that can be performed with them is enormous, with new ones being added every day. Lesson 51 is devoted to the topic of 'wandering cards,' in which playing cards wander invisibly from one deck to another. Sometimes they wander from the hand—up or down the sleeve—out of or into a pocket; sometimes they fly from one envelope to another, or from one spectator to another; or they are placed in two glasses and suddenly swap places. This trick has been varied over the decades and is known by numerous names. In Germany, the so-called 'two-man trick' enjoys great popularity, while in English-speaking countries, routines often bear the name of the number of cards used, such as the '30-card trick.'
The methods used are simple; preparation is rarely necessary, and if it is, it's absolutely problem-free. The few required moves are not difficult.
