Helge is not only a member of the Fertigen Finger and one of the funniest German speaking magicians (which is a contradiction in terms from an international perspective), he was also twice German champion of card magic and FISM award winner in the same category at the age of 20 (3rd place Lausanne 1991).
In the three SEMINAH booklets, he has compiled his "life's work in card games" to date, describing all the tricks, routines, and ideas that he considers worth the effort. The tricks and techniques range from simple to very challenging. But all are practical and come from Helge's active repertoire.
The high-quality produced and designed booklets are a three-part book. The layout is very appealing, featuring numerous photos, and QR codes lead to short videos that demonstrate some of the techniques in action for a better understanding.
In SEMINAH 3, Helge publishes for the first time all the ideas and routines of his Duplicate Principle, a completely new and probably the most natural and practical method of secretly obtaining duplicate signatures from the audience.
SEMINAH
Rollmops Reloaded
Helge's most frequently performed stage card trick, described with all the psychological subtleties gleaned from over 20 years of performing experience. A borrowed 20-euro note transforms into a 100-euro note and finds a signed card in a locked card box by wrapping itself around it like a ribbon.
Humor as deception
Essay on miscalling and all the presentational finesse of banknote transformation.
folding box
A new, simple way to secretly fold a card into quarters. A real alternative to the Mercury Card Fold.
Prof. Wolters' Card Switch
A new, very simple card exchange where the starting card automatically ends up face down in the middle of the game.
Fan Flyer
A very visual card production. Four aces fly out of a deck of cards for no apparent reason.
Eight ahead!
Four signed aces are found, transform into kings, and appear in four impossible locations. A complete, competitive card game routine with eight surprises at the end. Like a cup game—only with cards.
SEMINAH 2
Instant Camera Card
Analogue trick photography – the opening trick from Helge's FISM routine from 1991. Conceived together with Thomas Fraps, this is still one of the most original effects in the active demonstration repertoire of many table hoppers.
Hands up!
The unequalized fingertip resting position - Essay about a seemingly uncontrolled card handling on stage.
Two is better than three
The folded card in the rubber band – a triple card finding game in which the last card appears folded and crosswise enclosed by a rubber band in a transparent plastic box.
Action Fan Palm
Absolutely deceptive method of bringing the bottom card of the deck into the classic palmage of the right hand when closing a card fan.
The bags full of gifts
Helge's version of the multiple card finding. Seven selected cards are found and, as an additional surprise, appear at the end as "gifts" in seven different pockets of the performer. A perfect stand-up routine for parlor and stage.
SEMINAH 3
At the end of the 1990s, Helge discovered a new method for obtaining authentic duplicate signatures from the audience during a trick. In 2001, he published the basic idea in a small booklet. Two decades later, it's time to publish the entire resulting repertoire, with which he regularly fools amateur and professional audiences alike.
Angeuschung / Turned around / Stopgap
Three variants of the classic torn and restored card, which are technically simple but absolutely impossible thanks to the duplicate signatures.
The Shroud of Death
Four signed kings are found with the help of a devil's cloth. A visual routine for parlor and small stage that subtly exploits the duplicate principle and can serve as a prelude to a main effect like the torn card.
Card in matchbox / Action Fan Palm / Bent Cop Transfer / Thuns Tenkai Pocket Technique
Some useful techniques. A bit challenging, but anyone can do it.
Duplicate Travellers
With this routine from his "TRiX" program, Helge became German Card Magic Champion for the second time in 2002. Four signed kings are placed in different pockets in various ways. The last king disappears after the signature is checked again and reappears in a second deck, which has been in the audience from the beginning.
Nested
Helge's new favorite routine from his show "NAH DRAN." Four signed kings appear folded one after the other in the same matchbox. After the signature is checked again, the last king disappears along with the matchbox, and both appear together in the card box, which is in the audience from the beginning.
DUPLICATE CARDS
The necessary trick cards for the duplicate principle. One deck is sufficient for 25 performances. Red Bicycle Riders Back pattern.
