The combination of a "direct" and "indirect" force book. "Indirect force" involves transferring the actual force to other, usually completely unprepared books, namely simply forcing a page number. With this book, both are possible, although – and this is what sets it apart from all other Force books to date – it is entirely made up of the original, readable stories by Poe, not a single page is repeated, and it even contains five full-page illustrations and two poems.
