This effect is based on two books. One is titled "Everything Women Know About Men," the other "Everything Men Know About Women." When the first book is shown, it becomes clear that the women know EVERYTHING about men's lives. But when the second book is shown, all the pages are completely blank, with only the page numbers printed. Clearly, the men have no idea what goes on inside women.
A spectator is asked to choose a page from the first book and then quickly glance at it. They are also asked to memorize the page number. The spectator closes the book but keeps it in their hand! After a short journey into their imagination, during which all the letters on that page are supposed to wander over to the other book, the page in their book has actually disappeared. The spectator can check for themselves - their chosen page is now blank. In the other, formally empty book, the missing page has appeared on exactly the page chosen by the spectator.
