Explaining a topic clearly or presenting a product is a basic skill in many industries today. Technicians and engineers in particular have a high level of technical expertise, but usually learn little about presentation techniques during their training. This book is aimed at people who occasionally have to give talks or presentations in front of an audience. It focuses particularly on the situation in technical professions. The author offers tips that can make presentations easier and more interesting, varied, and informative for the audience. Particular emphasis is placed on some of the author's experiences as a magician and engineer. The reader gains insights into the correct use of body language, the correct dramatic structure of a presentation, and various elements of suspense. In addition, possible technical problems and their solutions are discussed, and it provides insight into the perceptual psychology of the audience.
