| Two powerful effects in combination: You present your hands and an empty plastic drinking glass, then cover it with a silk cloth. As soon as the glass is covered, a half-dollar coin appears at your fingertips, which you drop into the cloth. Two seconds later, a second coin appears in your hand, then a third, a fourth, and a fifth. You throw each coin visibly into the center of the cloth, which is then partially pulled into the glass by the weight of the money. - An inexplicable coin catch! They now grasp one of the corners of the cloth with their thumb and index finger and pull the cloth away. The spectators expect the five coins to fall noisily into the glass. But their expectations are not fulfilled: The half-dollars have suddenly disappeared without a trace! |
