Vienna Card Frame (rare collector's item from 1990)

The performer has the audience choose a card from a deck. A spectator tears the card into four pieces and receives one for later inspection. The remaining three pieces somehow disappear. The performer then presents a neatly crafted picture frame containing a photograph of himself. The frame is painted glossy black and has a delicate gold border. The photo is removed, and the frame is presented empty.

The performer holds the picture frame with outstretched arms. Suddenly, a piece of the previously torn map appears within. Immediately afterward, another piece appears, which merges with the quarter already in the frame to form half a map. And another piece appears—the map is three-quarters restored.

The performer slowly removes it from the frame and hands it to the spectator, who compares it to the piece he held back earlier: It fits perfectly. This is visible, wonderful magic.

But something's still missing. If the performer was able to unite three pieces of the card, why not the last piece as well? While the card is still in the spectator's hands, the performer signs it. He then takes the last piece and fuses it with the rest of the playing card to form a single piece. An excellent souvenir for the spectator!

Very well preserved collector's item.
