Alexander de Cova is a German magician, seminar leader, and author. His video courses, seminars, and books have influenced and shaped entire generations of magicians, especially in German-speaking countries. In 1992, he won the Silver Wand at the Monte Carlo Magic Festival with his performance "Samurai Magic Act." His tricks focus on simple, uncomplicated routines with "powerful effects that are easily understood by the audience." His repertoire ranges from manipulation, stage and parlor magic to card and close-up magic. In 1994/95 and 2015, de Cova was honored with the title of Author of the Year by the Magic Circle of Germany, making him the first person to receive this title twice. His book series "Burners" is highly recommended and provides a good overview of his work to date.
