Inventum – the new book by Christoph Borer

Hardcover, German, 290 pages, many photos

Christopher Borer is known as the inventor of exciting magic tricks. He has received international acclaim for "Get Sharky" (which was named Trick of the Year in 2011) and effects such as "Anagram," "Pendulum," "Runes of the Goddess Freya," and numerous others.

In this book, Borer describes his working method in three major chapters: how he invents tricks, how he improves tricks, and how he adapts tricks to himself.

In addition to numerous theoretical and practical articles, he describes 20 improved effects, 19 moderation tricks and 15 never-before-published tricks.

Highlights are certainly the tricks like:

• "Tree of Life" (you find out a spectator's zodiac sign, spirit animal, tarot card, and even their exact birthday)
• 5 Senses (A simple but very effective card effect with a great presentation)
• Emotions (triple incredible agreement although the viewer chooses everything very freely)
• The Vanishing Letter (A letter is chosen very freely. It disappears from the entire book.)
• Deadly sin and virtue (A truly freely chosen deadly sin or virtue appears on the slate)

You'll find these and many other great practical tricks gathered in "Inventum." Plus, plenty of tips on how to boost your own creativity.
