After several years, this effect is available again. While the previous versions used a wooden tray, the new one is a transparent(!) plastic tray with a sophisticated finish. And that's despite the fact that you can see through it .
This is what your audience experiences:
On an elegant, transparent tray are two empty Coca-Cola (or lemonade) bottles and two magic wands (black, with white tips).
1. You place one wand in one of the bottles and touch the top of the wand with the other wand. Now, when you move the second wand up and down, the first wand follows, as if magnetically attracted, as shown in Fig. 1. (No, the wands are not magnetic!)
2. Then place the second rod in the other bottle, hold the first rod horizontally in front of this bottle (Fig. 2), and move it up and down. The rod in the bottle moves along with the rod in front of the bottle.
3. Now place one stick in one bottle, hold the other stick in front of the other bottle (Fig. 3), and move it up and down. The stick in the far bottle will also bounce up and down, almost popping out of the bottle!
4. One of the rods is inserted into a bottle again, and the other rod is simply held horizontally; the rod in the bottle slowly rises (Fig. 4), then sinks back down again as often as you wish.
5. Now place each wand in a bottle. You hold an object (e.g., a sheet of paper) between the two bottles to shield the "sympathetic" effect, then grasp one of the wands and move it up and down. The other wand doesn't move, "because the rays are shielded." However, as soon as you remove the object from between the two bottles and move one of the wands, the other wand dances along to the same rhythm in the distant bottle (Fig. 5).
6. Then place one rod in one of the bottles and the other in the other. As soon as the second rod is inserted into the second bottle, the first one pops up inside its bottle and floats freely in the bottle neck (Fig. 6). When the first one is pushed down, the second one pops up.
Then you slowly push the rod floating above halfway into the bottle, and at the same time the other rod also rises to the middle of the bottle, and now both rods float freely in the completely transparent, crystal-clear bottles.
7. Finally, place a rod horizontally over the opening of the bottle (Fig. 7). The rod begins to rotate slowly and suddenly rotates horizontally (arrow in Fig. 7) on the bottle neck.
Her audience is left in awe. Is this telekinesis à la Uri Geller? Are these perhaps secret powers? Or a complicated mechanism? Hidden magnets? Wires? Secret assistants?
None of that! The whole secret lies in the elegant tray, and the effect occurs almost automatically. The magician doesn't have to do anything; just insert the sticks into the bottles, and what he wants happens.
He doesn't even need to practice for long; the sequence of actions, as described in the detailed illustrated instructions, can be learned in just a few minutes.
The secret cannot be discovered!
- the special plastic tray,
- two magic wands, also made of plastic,
- gimmicks invisible to the audience
- and a detailed illustrated explanation in German.
