You present a small, elegant ring box into which a spectator is asked to place their ring. You close the lid and place the box on the table.

Now you show a mysteriously shining red-transparent star hanging from a string. You hold the star over the case – when suddenly the star explodes and shatters into six pieces.

>>> In its place hangs a ring - it is the spectator's!

The spectator opens the box and finds that it is empty; it is really his ring hanging on the string!
