A geometric curiosity!

Don't confuse this effect with the classic "squircle." Although the effect is identical, we're using a revised technique and a different method.

A double page of newspaper is shown from both sides, then folded into a quarter and a square approximately 5 cm in size is cut out of the multi-layered corner.

The folded newspaper is unfolded, but instead of a square section, the audience sees a circular hole! ( This can't be demonstrated with "Squircle." ) The double newspaper page is actually completely unfolded, and there's a round hole right in the middle!

But that's not all. You also wave around the square section of the newspaper you cut out. Suddenly, this square section becomes a circular section, and it fits perfectly into the hole in the newspaper. Of course, the writing on the newspaper matches the writing on the clipping perfectly. Which proves that this is the section that was cut out of the newspaper!

The Circular Transformation of the Square! - With German instructions (10 DIN A4 pages with 40 illustrations) and patterns.
