A spectator chooses one of 20 different colors. She then chooses another person to participate in the experiment.

Without a word, you look first into the eyes of the spectator, then into the eyes of the second person. After a few moments, you ask this person if a color came to mind, to which they surprisingly answer , "Yes!" - "And what color came to mind?" - To which they reply, "Green!"

The first viewer confirms that she had indeed chosen “green.”

The experiment is immediately repeated. The spectator again chooses a color, and this time, no one else knows what color it is. Again, you look the second spectator in the eyes and then ask them if they noticed anything. This time, too, the spectator names a color, which turns out to be the same as the one chosen by the spectator! Namely, "blue."

With this effect, you'll amaze not only your audience but also your colleagues with magical skills. The method is both simple, yet ingenious and inscrutable.

The German-language instructions also provide a detailed description of the original version, as well as a bonus comedy version!

History : A good 60 years ago, this " flashing eye " effect was very well known, but was gradually forgotten and is probably no longer familiar to anyone today. It began in the 1950s, and some magicians attribute it to UF Grant. Details of this effect also appeared in the magazine "Boy's Life" and on the back covers of some comic books. Johnson Smith and Vick Lawston also included it in their catalog of common magic effects. They advertised this effect at the time(!) as follows:

"Create a magical effect! Do what many magicians do. Simply blink your eyes and make it look like lightning is shooting out of them! The more you blink, the more lightning you shoot, and these flashes appear to hit the eyes of those around you. Easy to do, no wires, no chemicals! Completely safe and amazing for everyone."

To ensure this wonderful effect doesn't fall into oblivion, Devin Knight decided to revive it and adapt it to modern magic. He searched for contemporary materials and implemented the whole thing in such a way that it became an absolutely killer effect.
