They tell the audience that it seems as if some card players have extrasensory perception.

These card players seem to know exactly what cards their opponents are holding. And that's exactly what you want to replicate in an experiment.

Perhaps one of the spectators has similar abilities?

Then you show four opaque envelopes and remove the four aces from a deck of cards. Place them in the envelopes, which are then thoroughly shuffled.

At this point, no one can know which ace is in which envelope. The envelopes are laid out side by side in front of a spectator, who is asked to guess which ace is in each envelope.

The spectator points to an envelope and names the ace they believe is inside. You then write the answer on the envelope. This is repeated with all the remaining envelopes. Each envelope now has the ace the spectator believes to be inside it written on it.

You pick up the envelopes and fan them out. Explain that only three envelopes are needed for the first phase of the experiment. So ask the spectator to pull one envelope from the fan and set it aside—as their personal lucky card, so to speak. Let's assume they set aside the envelope labeled HEART.

Now you open the remaining three envelopes and it turns out that the spectator was absolutely right in his guess as to which ace was in which envelope!

That’s surprising enough, but the real highlight is yet to come:

Make it clear to the audience that no one could have known which envelope the spectator would choose and set aside. Now ask that spectator to pick up the envelope and open it. You will not touch this envelope at any time!

The envelope contains the correct ace, but also a piece of paper. It reads, handwritten: "You have set this card aside as your lucky card. It is the Ace of Hearts." Now the spectators may examine all the other envelopes. There are no further pieces of paper inside, nor any further aces.

Comes with all necessary accessories and German instructions . - Simply remove the four aces from your own (or a borrowed) deck of cards.
