Mind Reading/Telepathy + The Gomboloy
Erik Jan Hanussen
Erik Jan Hanussen was the pseudonym of Hermann Steinschneider , one of the most famous and notorious “clairvoyants” of all time
He was born on July 2, 1889, in Vienna and grew up in poverty without any formal education. His father was a slapstick actor, who took his son on tours at a young age, where he taught him the tricks of vaudeville and circus artists.
Hanussen demonstrated his paranormal abilities in numerous demonstrations, although the majority of his "experiments" consisted "only" of tricks.
At just 21 years old, he was editor-in-chief of the newspaper "Der Blitz." Seven years later (1917), he published a pamphlet in Krakow, "What Is It Based On?" in which he exposed telepathy and clairvoyance as frauds.
Just three years later (1920), he wrote his second book, entitled "Mind Reading." In it, he again portrayed telepathy and mind reading as frauds.
He then devoted himself to this profession and tried to buy back his books!!!
In the book offered here, he describes everything a mind reader should know in 12 chapters, from muscle reading, mind reading, dowsing to suggestion!
"Mind Reading / Telepathy" has been retained in its original wording, style, spelling, and punctuation. However, a new format and a more fluid layout have been created, and the table of contents has been revised accordingly.
Added as a bonus, also with a new layout, is Hanussen's brochure on the famous pearl necklace from the Arabian region: "The Gomboloy – A Revelation for Humanity – My System for Mastering the Nerves." Today, Hanussen's applications for this necklace would be called self-hypnosis in the sense of autosuggestion (as in autogenic training, for example). Perhaps it will also help combat stage fright… during your first performances as a "telepath"!
