The basics of magic

When you think about which props Harlan Tarbell most enjoyed working with, you'll probably quickly think of ropes. Many of his routines involve ropes , he can be seen with ropes in many photos, and among the numerous rope tricks he invented, there are some truly unique gems.

In the foreword, Harry Lorayne lists 19 basic effects that can be achieved with ropes.

In this lesson, you'll be introduced to six tricks that cover some of these themes: cutting and restoring the rope once or more, disappearing knots, swapping ropes, ring on rope, and freeing a silk scarf from the rope. All tricks that are well-rehearsed, highly visual, and sure to impress the audience.
