Tricks and routines with haunted glasses
A ghostly sign, symbol, or lettering appears on a glass surface. This has a "magical" effect in the truest sense of the word. For over a hundred years, scientific literature has provided information on how this phenomenon can be achieved.
In the 1960s, Dr. Peter Kersten succeeded in developing a process for permanently preparing glass surfaces. At the time, he wrote his doctoral thesis on such phenomena, among other things. Here, and now, is a highly informative and extremely humorous foreword to this brochure. In it, he provides some insights into the development of his puff glasses, as well as into his entire work.
The main section consists of routines for the various versions of his puff glasses, covering the entire spectrum of possibilities. Sometimes it's a shard of glass from Egypt, sometimes the lens of a deceased uncle's glasses, or a haunted glass from the spirit world, on which a message from the afterlife or a thought from the brain of a participating spectator materializes—only to disappear again immediately afterwards.
You will also learn about the “magic” prism, Sherlock Holmes’ magnifying glass and grandfather’s glasses, and hear the corresponding story of Perkeo and the ophthalmologist.
Puff glasses can be presented in a serious, mystical or funny way, astonishing and enigmatic, but in any case always entertaining for your audience.
