The Cube Game is one of the absolute classics in magic. This isn't due to its age, however, but rather to the quality of this trick. In the right hands, it's a miracle. It works again and again!
But I've always been hesitant to show this show because the two towers put me off. Far too much luggage, far too much fussing, and far too much to handle on stage. And as if that weren't enough, the trick also requires two tables.
Thank you very much, I'm out.
With Cubes! I can now demonstrate the complete routine, but I only have one cube and only need one table. Little luggage – big impact. Brilliant! Exactly my thing. I'm in!
With Cubes! Enjoy amazing entertainment with just one cube, one tube, and...one table!
What an ingenious improvement.
The only thing that bothers me about this piece of art is:
It wasn't my idea. What a bummer.
The classic cube game with just one dice tower - a hit for every comedy, parlor, or stage magician!
This version of the cube game has it all: superb workmanship - great effect sequence:
- You lift the square tube, and underneath you will see four numbered cubes stacked on top of each other in the order 4-3-2-1.
- The tube is pushed over the dice and lifted up again - the dice are now in the order 1-2-3-4.
- This is repeated once more - and the dice sequence is again 4-3-2-1.
- Now the 2 and 4 in the dice tower are turned over with the back facing forward - tube over them and back up again - the 2 and 4 are in the right position again, but the 1 and 3 have turned around.
- The whole thing is now varied so that the dice are arranged in a colorfully mixed row, but the "tube magic" immediately arranges them perfectly again.
- As a climax and conclusion, have the audience call out numbers, which are then written on the tower in chalk. Hocus pocus, the dice are on the table in exactly this episode!
