A small brass tube with a screw cap is presented empty, then closed and sealed if necessary. It remains in full view on the table. A banknote is borrowed, marked, and—covered by a cloth—given to a spectator to hold. Another brass tube is presented, into which the first tube is inserted. It fits snugly. The lid is put on, and this tube, too, is sealed.
