When Martin Gardner contacted the illustrator of TEATCT 44 years after the book had been published, Smith's recollection of Erdnase was quite fuzzy. Nevertheless he remembered that Erdnase used a small board with green baize on it and a small ridge around the edges.
This iconic prop is an essential accessory for every Erdnase enthusiast and makes practicing and performing so much more comfortable. Produced in collaboration with Vorst&Bosch our CloseUp Pad consists of a wooden frame with mahogany veneer and an exchangeable padding with a velvet cloth cover. Please note that the exact color of the fabric and structure of the wood varies slightly from pad to pad.
