The magician presents the audience with a model of a castle. Beautifully crafted with many realistic details. The castle's history is—as is often the case—connected with ghosts. This castle is simply haunted!
During the story, the children notice a ghost in one of the castle chambers. It is a friendly ghost who is very shy himself. It avoids people and hides in various corners of the castle.
The performer, with the help of the children and their reactions, tries to capture the ghost. However, he is unsuccessful. The ghost sneaks (noticeably by the children) from chamber to chamber, hides behind a tower, and even attempts to escape through the chimney. However, the magician, who tries to catch him, is always a moment too late. Even the castle knights are unable to help catch the ghost. The whole situation is met with great amusement by the children. Eventually, the ghost disappears completely. In both chambers, the front and back doors are removed, and no ghost is seen.
The ghost eventually reappears in the magician's breast pocket or some other surprising place.
