Optical illusions have fascinated people for a very long time. Professor Kokichi Sugihara of Meiji University develops impossible objects that you can easily recreate with these sets. The illusion only appears from a specific angle, making it ideal for video recording.

With the "Mysterious Pillars" you get a model that looks impossible from the right angle.

You will receive two crafting sheets with punched and pre-folded components. With the help of glue, the object shown in the pictures can be created in just a few minutes. You will also receive German-language instructions that explain the process step by step.

Who is Kokichi Sugihara?
Kokichi Sugihara is a Japanese mathematician and artist known for his three-dimensional optical illusions that make marbles roll uphill, pull objects to the highest point of a building's roof, and make circular pipes appear rectangular.
His illusions, which are often videos of three-dimensional objects shown from carefully chosen perspectives, won first place in the "Best Illusion of the Year" competition in 2010, 2013 and 2018 and second place in 2015 and 2016.
